Yes, I have decided to POSTPONE Back to School for Doctors 2020.
The State of Colorado will not permit the Renaissance Hotel to host any gathering beyond 175 people (including staff). That is far fewer than have already registered. They will not allow our custom buffet luncheon, instead requiring waiter service at your seminar seat. They have prohibited our wine and cheese reception Saturday evening.
Additionally, according to the Travelpulse website, states have varying regulations concerning inbound travelers, including returning residents, such as a 14-day quarantine rule upon arrival or face large fines for avoidance. Thus, doctors returning to these states would not be able to practice for 14 days!
Faced with these regulations the only viable course I see is postponement to a date to be determined.
Your refund is now in process.
It has been suggested that Back to School for Doctors 2020 be given online as a webinar. Here is my thinking on that: There is this special spirit of comradery and homecoming among the health professionals over the past three decades of Back to School for Doctors. Here we participate in the triumphant knowledge embodied by Dr. Royal Lee and our successive expansion of that work. These regulations, however, obstruct that bond and a purely virtual event would sterilize our rich interaction and friendship. Therefore, I will not conduct a 12-hour Saturday and Sunday webinar to serve as Back to School for Doctors. BUT there is still something important to be done on the scheduled date of Saturday, September 19.
On Saturday, September 19, I will host a 3-hour ZOOM WEBINAR from 9:30am – 12:30pm Mountain Time, for no fees at all. This webinar is titled: Urgent Dispatch from the War on Humanity. It will cover elements that I consider too important to delay until the new in-person seminar is held. Information and insights that are bursting at the seams will not be shackled. I trust that this online offering provides you with robust and real action steps to enhance your practice and patient care.
Please watch for a follow-up email containing simple details and a link for registering for the three-hour presentation on September 19.
And so, even though I’ve already bought my annual new shirt for Back to School for Doctors, it will remain unworn hanging in my closet until we can gather in person again.
